Savi is a remake of the French movie “Pour Elle”. The subject of jailbreak is quite novel in Bollywood. Thumbs up for the plot.

The film centers around a housewife settled in Liverpool with her son who will go to any extent to save her husband who has been implicated in murder. (At this point we do not know if he’s guilty or not) Now let’s introduce the characters/actors, Savi (Divya Khosla Kumar) struggles in the initial scenes but then can pick up pace, Nakul (Harshvardhan Rane) as the incarcerated hubby has much less scene time, and then there’s Joy (Anil Kapoor) in a supporting yet pivotal role.

There are a few other actors such as Himanshi Chaudhary as the police inspector and Raageswari (does it ring a bell?) the overtly helpful neighbor.

So now let’s focus on the storyline, Savi is devastated when her husband is implicated in a murder case & imprisoned in a high-security UK jail. She is confused at first but realizes that jailbreak is the only solution if they want to be together as a family. However, all key pieces of evidence point against Nakul & the police take him away.

Now Savi is determined that by hook or crook, she has to get Nakul out asap since she’s realized that he’s getting bullied by other inmates. So she starts her research and stumbles upon a book written by Joy based on his jailbreaks. She locates him and after a lot of hardships gets him to help her out.

He helps her throughout the plan and finally, Nakul is free of jail & the 3 of them are sailing in international waters. So, the local police are helpless and cannot arrest them. Please watch the movie for more details.

As per Hindu mythology, Savitri can go to any extent for her husband, just like the lead character Savi.

Tadah!Time to rate the movie. Frankly speaking, the locales were beautiful, storyline was ok, acting was also tolerable. One-time watch.
