One of the most awaited Bollywood sequels (note the extra ‘s’ in Hassen). Let’s find out whether it lives up to the expectations or not. Taapsee & Vikrant are reprising their roles as Rani & Rishu, in addition, a new character called Abhimanyu (played by Sunny Kaushal) adds freshness to the otherwise predictable narrative.
Plot: The movie picks up from where the first part ended. Rishu & Rani try to unite; however, this seems impossible without the help of a third person. Ta-da, here enters Abhimanyu, forming a love triangle. The rest of the movie is about how the trio hatches a plan to evade the police, all the acts inspired.
Verdict
Powerful performances by the primary cast consisting of Taapsee, Vikrant, Sunny & Jimmy Shergill save the day for an otherwise poorly executed script & direction. The movie is good in patches (maybe until the first half). I’d say a one-time watch.
